Palm is officially saying goodbye to Palm OS. While speaking at an investor conference, Palm CEO Ed Colligan announced that there will be no more new devices running the “classic” Palm operating system.

After a long long wait, Palm is finally ready to unveal their new line of smartphones running the new Nova operating system. Palm will be doing the launch at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas in January. To celebrate, they are inviting you to come along.

I have bought my fair share of Palm OS applications, all of which remain unused right now since I use an iPhone. Here’s some good news : Styletap has officially confirmed that they will be bringing their Palm OS emulator to the iPhone / iPod touch platform.

It’s been a while since we mentioned anything about the new Palm OS 2.0, codenamed Nova. The reason? There hasn’t been any news at all about it lately.
