I have bought my fair share of Palm OS applications, all of which remain unused right now since I use an iPhone. Here’s some good news : Styletap has officially confirmed that they will be bringing their Palm OS emulator to the iPhone / iPod touch platform.

It’s been a while since we mentioned anything about the new Palm OS 2.0, codenamed Nova. The reason? There hasn’t been any news at all about it lately. APC Magazine caught up with Palm CEO Ed Colligan during the Australian launch of the Palm Centro. The interview with Colligan gives some insight about what’s happening with Nova.

Just a few days ago we saw photos of the Treo 800, Palm’s upcoming Windows Mobile phone. It turns out that the 800 has a brother, the Treo 850. The Treo 800 runs on EVDO (Sprint and Verizon in the US), while the 850 is for GSM networks (i.e. just about everyone else, the rest of the world). Boy Genius Report has the exclusive first photo of the Treo 850.

One of the new features of the recent firmware updates for the Palm Treo 680 smartphone is the ability to use MP3 files as ringtones. As Palm puts it : “MP3 and other sound files purchased from the web or sent from friends can now be set as ringtones and alerts.” The thing is, Palm never really explained how all this works. Fortunately, we now know how to do it.
