D-Day will be June 6th 2009 for Palm and their new flagship smartphone, the Palm Pre. That’s a couple of days before Apple’s World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC), so Palm should have some good coverage in the tech and mainstream press.

I think if there’s a company that I’d love to see win, it’s Palm. It’s been a long journey for me personally with Palm, going back 10 years. They’ve lost their way in the past few years, so the Palm Pre smartphone and new webOS marks a comeback for them.

I read a whole lot of books in 2007. In 2008, my tally was less. There were a couple of reasons for this. One, as things got very busy at work and at home, I found less time to read. Two, there was a period of several months after my transition to the iPhone where I didn’t have a good way to read ebooks.
