Apple iPod touch 16 GB with Software Upgrade

I love ebooks, and I love the iPhone. For the longest time, I was very frustrated because of how difficult it was to get books on the iPhone. The desire to read Cory Doctorow’s latest work, Little Brother, drove me to dig a little deeper and I am happy to say that it’s actually not an impossible task! Note that this method should also work with the iPod touch.

Save trees, read an ebook on your phone

You don’t need a dedicated ebook reader (like the Amazon Kindle Wireless Reading Device) to read ebooks. Your smartphone (whether it’s Windows Mobile, Palm OS, Symbian or even the iPhone) can do the job equally well. By reading ebooks, you also help to save trees (although you probably can’t claim that you save energy costs as well). To celebrate Earth Day, my favourite ebook store Fictionwise is offering a 10% discount off all ebooks.

eReader Pro now free for everyone, on all platforms

Kindle: Amazon\'s New Wireless Reading Device

A while back, I ranted about how eReader Pro for Windows Mobile was free, while the version for Palm OS had less functionality and cost money. Well, that’s fixed now. eReader Pro is now free for all platforms. eReader (the company) was recently bought over by ebook retailer Fictionwise. This is most welcome news indeed. For Palm OS, eReader Pro includes the ability to read dictionaries and autoscrolling. For Windows Mobile, it includes the ability to browse and purchase ebooks over the air.
