Without a doubt, Omnifocus is the GTD tool of choice for discerning geeks and professionals. For a while now, the Mac OS version of Omnifocus has remained the same, while the spotlight (and improvements) have moved to the iOS (iPhone and iPad) versions.

The Omni Group has announced Omnifocus 2 for Mac OS, which will incorporate many of the learnings from its iOS siblings.

There will be 2 versions of Omnifocus 2:

• Omnifocus 2 Standard Edition – designed to get you up and running without too much complexity
• Omnifocus 2 Pro Edition – the successor of today’s Omnifocus, with advanced features such as building custom workflows
