Quick update from Barcelona

There’s a lot happening over here in Barcelona, where I’m attending the Mobile World Congress. It’s been a lot of walking and talking for me, so I haven’t been able to capture a lot of news for the blog. Mobility Mind in Barcelona

I thought I’d do a quick update on my current business trip. As previously mentioned, I’m attending the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. I’m not bringing my notebook computer along, so I’m totally dependent on my iPhone for communications and computing needs.

Last year, I did an experiment where the iPhone was my sole computing and communications device for almost two weeks. That was over a family vacation, so there were really no critical business needs. Now I’m about to go on a one week trip. I’ve decided to leave the laptop behind while traveling to Barcelona, Spain for the Mobile World Congress conference and exhibition.

Goodbye, Palm OS

Palm is officially saying goodbye to Palm OS. While speaking at an investor conference, Palm CEO Ed Colligan announced that there will be no more new devices running the “classic” Palm operating system.
