iPhone App Store applications paid versus non-paid

Has it really been just 5 months since Apple opened the virtual doors of the App Store for the iPhone? It feels much longer than that. For many years, Palm has boasted its unrivalled base of “tens of thousands” of third party applications for its Palm OS platform. Now Apple can claim the same, as they have reached over 10,000 applications on the App Store.

Apple has managed to ignite the imaginations of thousands of developers to get excited to create mobile applications again. Never mind the fact that most of these apps are probably flashlights and calculators, but it’s an impressive feat. With the runaway success of the iPhone, these developers have found access to millions of new customers — new customers who downloaded 300 million apps in the past 5 months.

It now seems like nothing can stop the Apple / iPhone juggernaut. Now will you release the darn thing officially in Malaysia already?
