Android apps now on sale at Handango

Handango Inc.

The Android-powered T-Mobile G1 smartphone is doing decent sales right now. Since Google and its partners are going a different, “open” route for their applications, we will see several different App Stores for Android applications. One of the first third party App Store for Android comes from Handango.

At the moment, they only have 30+ applications, but that is sure to grow. One of the best things about the Apple App Store is the low prices of applications. It looks like the first Android apps are a bit more expensive, for example Tetris from EA Mobile sells for $15. The same title for the iPhone is just $8. Let’s hope developers and publishers wise up and start to offer mobile apps and games at the same (lower) price for all mobile platforms.
