Palm sells over 1 million smartphones last quarter

Palm has reported their financial results for the last quarter. They sold a good number of Centro and Treo smartphones : 1,029,000 units. This is 49 percent higher compared to the same period last year. Revenue was also up 10%, however the company is still making a loss.

While the Centro sells very well, Palm’s margin on this low end device is quite thin. Hopefully the new high end Treo Pro will bring in the dough for Palm, although the competition is quite stiff.
