How the iPhone keeps me sane
April 12, 2008 – 4:55 pm | by AziziMy daily commute is very long — just over 100km. On normal days, that translates to about 3 hours. On days when the traffic is crazy, it can drag to 5 or more hours. Over the past few months, the iPhone has kept me sane through my commute.
In the morning, I tend to listen to more stimulating, thought-provoking content. This is mostly podcasts. My favourites include Social Innovations Conversations and Uchannel. This keeps my mind awake and alert, plus it gives me a lot of new ideas.
In the evening, I listen to more light-hearted podcasts, usually from the TWiT network and Podshow. When I get really tired, I just turn on to an uptempo music playlist (usually rock songs) and sing along.
It’s a tough commute, but my iPhone helps me to avoid getting (too) bored most of the time.
