Yes, it’s that time of the year again, for “spring forward”. This year, Daylight Saving Time (DST) begins on March 9th at 2 a.m. and ends on Nov. 2 at 2 a.m. The new DST went in effect last year, so you may want to check if your Treo is already updated to support it.

As expected, Apple announced their SDK (software development kit) for the iPhone today. There were a few surprises, but the bad news is we have to wait until June for the final SDK (and maybe the first official 3rd party applications).

Apple previously promised that the iPhone SDK (software development kit) was going to be launched in February 2008. Well, February’s come and gone, but Apple will be holding an event today, Thursday 6th March. Will there be an SDK? Will Apple announce a 3G iPhone? We’ll have to wait and see. The event will be held at the Apple campus in Cupertino at 10am PST. Unfortunately for me, that translates to 2am on Friday morning.

I just returned from a two-day, 800km business trip. I made a concious choice of leaving my Treo 680 behind, and just bringing my iPhone. I have to say that while I am pleasantly surprised on how well the iPhone performed, I did miss my Treo 680 for a few reasons.
