No new Palm Linux devices until 2009?

I was very disappointed when Palm CEO Ed Colligan previously mentioned that devices running the new Palm Linux OS would only appear at the end of 2008. Well, we may have to wait a little longer. Palm’s new Chairman, Jon Rubinstein, has been quoted as saying it will take 18 months for new products to roll out.

Treo 680/750 Lithium Batt 1200mAh

One week after ordering it, I received my Seidio 1600mAh extended battery from Singapore. Considering that Singapore is just “next door” to Malaysia, this is quite a long time. Since it’s only been a couple of days, I have not yet fully conditioned the new battery.

3 billion mobile phones vs 1 billion PCs

It’s a staggering number, any way you want to look at it. Just eight years ago the Internet was the big thing everyone talked about. Today, we have 1.2 billion Internet users worldwide, running on 1 billion PCs. Yet these numbers are eclipsed by the fact that there are 3 billion mobile phones in use today.

1.1 million iPhones in 3 months

Palm Treo vs Apple iPhone

Good news for Apple. They had another good financial quarter, with a revenue of US$6.22 billion. They sold a total of 1,119,000 iPhones. The total number of iPhones sold in the past four months (remember, they sold 270K in 1.25 days in June) is 1,389,000.
