Good news : unlock Sprint Treo smartphones legally

Good news for Sprint customers : you will soon be able to unlock your phones, and use your own unlocked phones on the Sprint network. This move is part of a settlement for a class action lawsuit in California.
This means you can unlock your Sprint Treo smartphones (like the Treo 755p) for use on compatible CDMA networks like Verizon and Alltel. The settlement is not yet finalised, though — hopefully it will go through.
