Red Sprint Palm Centro

Engadget is one of the most popular and influential technology blogs around. If the Palm Centro is to be a success for Palm, then it needs at least an “ok” rating from Engadget. Engadget most famously wrote and open letter to Palm regarding the future directions of the company. Soon after, Palm responded by cancelling the Foleo to concentrate on future Treo devices.

Well, Engadget has reviewed the Palm Centro. The verdict?

“It would be easy to love this phone, but there’s too many minor hang-ups that contribute to an overwhelming sense of letdown.” They say the Centro will probably appeal to “brainy teens, casual tinkerers, and young technophiles of all suits”, but “power users, early adopters, and those seriously jaded by Palm’s inability to really deliver something new might want to look elsewhere.”
