So there I was, last night, happily charging the new unlocked, ATT branded Treo 680. After about 2 minutes the Treo 680 turned on by itself, and presented the usual start up screens. I played around with it for a while and turned it off, waiting for the LED to turn green. Four hours later, the LED was still red and the thing wouldn’t turn on.

I then left it charged overnight. As I woke up this morning, the LED was still red and it still wouldn’t turn on. All right, so on to the resets. I tried a soft reset, warm reset, hard reset, and even a zero-out reset (with the assistance of my half-asleep son), but still no luck.

When the battery is inserted, the Palm screen would appear with the black bar at the bottom. When the black bar goes all the way to the right, the Treo switches off. Basically I never get to the home screen.

Any ideas, anyone?
