Mobile device connector standard coming?

Is the mobile phone accessory nightmare coming to an end? A while ago, I wrote about the frustration I felt in dealing with proprietary accessory connectors. Each phone manufacturer has a unique power and accessory connector for their phones — in fact, some manufacturers have multiple incompatible connectors throughout their product lines!

Spook Country by Wiliam Gibson

Spook Country is the latest work by William Gibson, the science fiction writer most popularly known for Neuromancer. If you’re expecting hard science fiction, then you would be disappointed. Spook Country is some sort of a sequel to Gibson’s previous book, Pattern Recognition. Instead of the future, this book is about the recent past.

iPhone vs Nokia N95 vs HTC Touch

Computerworld has written a comprehensive article comparing three smartphones : the Apple iPhone, Nokia N95 and HTC Touch. The N95 is a powerhouse with WiFi, 3G and a 5 megapixel camera. The HTC Touch is a Windows Mobile 6 device without a physical keypad. They had the 3 phones tested by Perceptive Sciences, an Austin, Texas-based usability consulting firm.
