As previously mentioned, earlier this week Peter Rojas of Engadget wrote a long open letter to Palm. The main concern was Palm’s lack of innovation in recent years. Well, hats off to Palm for a quick response — from the CEO, no less!

It’s good to see a more open and responsive Palm. Palm CEO Ed Colligan said that he forwarded the Engadget article to “our entire executive staff and many others at Palm”.

Colligan has some pretty positive sentiments : “remember that it is very early in the evolution of the smartphone and there is enormous opportunity for us to innovate … the team at Palm is totally committed to delivering the best mobile computing solutions in the world.”

Well, let’s wait and see.
