Access Linux Platform screen shots

ACCESS (the company formerly known as Palmsource — remember them?) recently participated in this year’s LinuxWorld conference, held last week in San Francisco. They made a few announcements, and updated their website with some new screenshots of the user interface of the ALP Linux-based operating system.
While the screenshots look good, I wonder if a jazzy user interface is enough to make ALP succeed. As far as I know, ALP still has not announced any customers for their operating system. All along, the assumption was that Palm would use the ALP for future PDAs and Treo smartphones, however Palm has started developing their own Linux-based operating system.
Is there any future for ACCESS?
