Palm Treo vs Apple iPhone

Is the Apple iPhone really that much more expensive than a Treo 680 smartphone?   There are many ways to look at the issue.  PalmAddict Associate Writer TjL chimes in, and shows that in the long run, the iPhone could in fact be cheaper than a Treo 680.

Treo users have a harder time making up their mind, especially since the keyboard is such a key factor for usability.   In case you need to read even more reviews of the iPhone, here are two of the longest (and most comprehensive) ones I have seen so far :  Ars Technica and Anandtech.
