After the Treo 755p and Treo 750v this year, we are now presented with the possibility of another new Treo smartphone, the Treo 800w.  According to a post on HowardForums, the Treo 800w showed up as part of Verizon’s fall (autumn) line-up.  From the naming, the Treo 800w is likely to be a Windows Mobile, hopefully with the new Windows Mobile 6 operating system.

Since it’s on Verizon, then it will most probably have an EVDO radio.   Why isn’t it called the 755w, though?  The current generation of EVDO Treo smartphones are called the 700p (Palm OS version) and 700wx (Windows Mobile version). Will the Treo 800w sport a new form factor?  We have to wait a few more months to find out.
