Some short and sweet updates on mobile software for your Treo.

EarthComber now adds eventful.com to its database, offering even more events and locations across the United States — now over 10 million. The Earthcomber data feed includes stores, ATMs, WiFi hotspots, hotels, coffee shops, restaurants, live music, fast food, museums, historical sites, attractions, parks, lakes and trails, gas stations and more. The free Earthcomber mobile application is available for the Blackberry as well as Windows Mobile and Palm OS Treo smartphones.

If you do programming on your Treo, do check out DragonEdit. The latest version, DragonEdit 1.2.1, you can edit text, Palm DOC and HTML documents straight on your smartphone. DragonEdit is quite versatile, with the ability to open multiple files at once, no file size restrictions, horizontal scrolling so that wordwrap can be switched off, built-in FTP support for uploading files, custom hi-res fonts for maximizing the use of Palm’s small screens, and an advanced find/replace that even allows regular expressions. As an HTML editor, there is also a full HTML tag database, tag and attribute autocompletion, and coding wizards.
