Introducing the Palm Foleo
Is it a smartphone? Is it a PDA? Well, as it turns out, it’s neither. The details are not out yet, but here’s some information derived from the Palm blog RSS feed. The new product from Palm will be called Palm Foleo. It’s a UMPC-like device and the device category is a “smartphone companion”.
More about the Palm Foleo:
- Foleo has a large screen and full size keyboard to view and edit email and office documents (probably via a version of Documents To Go). Edits made on Foleo automatically are reflected on its paired smartphone and vice versa.
- Foleo turns on and off instantly, features fast navigation, a compact and elegant design, and a battery that lasts up to five hours of use.
- Foleo runs the new Linux-based Palm OS.
- Expect prices to be around US$500.
