When Palm first announced that it would offer Windows Mobile versions of its popular Treo smartphones, a lot of people were sceptical. After all, Palm OS and Windows Mobile were rivals in the same way that Windows and Mac OS are. Two successful models later (the Treo 700w/wx and Treo 750), the Windows Mobile smartphones are well-accepted members of the Treo smartphone line.Now Palm and Microsoft are teaming up to find the hottest new Treo developers and Treo applications. The Treo Windows Mobile Challenge starts Monday April 30th, in conjunction with Microsoft’s Mobile and Embedded Developers Conference (MEDC) next week in Las Vegas. You have the chance to walk away with US$10,000 and an XBox 360.
