New Treo global launches

Palm has launched the Treo 680 and Treo 750 in several more countries. In Nicaragua and Honduras, Palm has partnered with mobile operator Claro to introduce the entry-level Treo 680 smartphone. In Colombia, Palm is working together with Comcel. Meanwhile, the 3G Treo 750 smartphone has appeared in Italy, running on the 3 Italia network.

Palm Backup Beta

Palm has released the public beta version of their over the air (OTA) backup application, called Palm Backup. The software automatically saves a copy of your data to a secure server every day, over your carrier’s wireless network. Palm Backup covers the basic, essential data including:

  • Contacts
  • Calendar
  • Memos
  • Tasks
  • Bookmarks
  • Speed dials
  • Call log
