Fellow Treo-user, blogger and Malaysian doctor Palmdoc has an excellent blog highlighting the uses of PDAs and smartphones in a medical environment. He has compiled a very useful list of medical-related software that you can use on your Treo. The best part : all the applications listed are free. Here’s a great example : the Handheld Computer Smoking Intervention tool.

Palmdoc also recently obtained himself a new Palm Treo 680 smartphone to replace his Treo 650. From his first week review, he seems to like the new Treo so far. He finds the additional memory to be very useful for his medical applications. I still have not decided whether to go for a Treo 680 now or wait for an iPhone.
