The Palm Treo 680 smartphone continues its journey around the globe, and has landed in El Salvador. Palm’s partner in El Salvador is GSM operator Claro, a subsidiary of the America Movil Group.
Palm has released two software updates for Treo smartphones. The first update is for users of Microsoft’s Outlook 2007. This update is for Palm OS devices only, including the latest Treo 680 and Treo 700p. You need this update if you sync your Treo with Outlook 2007 on Windows XP or Windows Vista. This is a 7.2MB download.

The Benq P50 was in the works for a long time — long before the Benq-Siemens merger, in fact. A while back it was touted as a Treo 650 killer. It came out too late, underpowered and underfeatured. Benq-Siemens hopes to do one better with the P51. The P51 is still not out yet, but PalmAddict contributor Amin Hafez got his hands on a pre-production unit. (more…)
