Treo 750 launch

Palm and Cingular will launch the Treo 750 in the US on 7th January, at CES. Customers will be able to get the phone at Cingular stores and online the next day. Expect to pay US$399 (after a $100 rebate) for this 3G/UMTS smartphone, provided you sign up for a two-year contract. It’s about time the US folks get their hands on the Treo 750, which has been released in many European and Asian countries.

The Treo 750 runs Windows Mobile. It has 128MB non-volatile flash ram (60MB user-accessible), a miniSD card slot, 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 1.2 and new software features, all in a form factor that’s 14% lighter than the Treo 650.

Cingular also expects to have an upgrade available for the Treo 750 that will take advantage of the faster HSDPA networks. This firmware upgrades should be available in the first half of this year. Engadget Mobile has images of the entire launch presentation.
