Use 8GB SDHC cards with Treo 680
Here’s another reason to buy the new Palm Treo 680 smartphone : it supports the new SDHC format. SDHC (SD High Capacity) cards are the next evolution of the popular SD (Secure Digital) format expansion cards that we have seen being used in Palm handhelds and smartphones since the Palm m505 days. Some folks at the Treocentral discussion forums have reported success using the higher capacity, 4GB and 8GB SDHC cards on their Treo 680 smartphones.
Previous Palm OS Treo smartphones did not support the SDHC format, and also were not able to use 4GB SD cards without a hack. The 8GB 60x Class 2 SDHC Secure Digital Card by Ultra costs US$149, which is actually not that bad.
