Mac users now have another option to back up and archive their SMS messages from their Treo smartphones. FunkeeStory from FunkeeMonk Technology looks like a fairly comprehensive solution that has support for multimedia (MMS photo and video), one touch backup, international text, Treo-style threaded chat view, instant search, and more.

Since we know that the new Treo 680 smartphone can use the high speed, high capacity SDHC expansion card, it really was a matter of time before our Treo hackers got into the code. There apparently has been some success in transferring the necessary SDHC software drivers from the Treo 680 to the Treo 700p and Treo 650.
