Interview with Jeff Hawkins
PoderPDA has a short interview with Jeff Hawkins, the Chief Technology Officer of Palm, Inc. The esteemed Mr. Hawkins is best known as the creator of the first truly successful PDA, the original Palm Pilot. Of course, he also created the Treo while he was at Handspring. It will be interesting to see what Jeff comes up next, especially with his new company Numenta, which was formed to commercialise his ideas on how the human brain works. I read his book On Intelligence earlier this year, and it’s a very thoughtful and provocative look at the human neocortex and why artificial intelligence has never been successful.
