Navigator Smartphone Edition Gps

Here are three recent reviews of various accessories for the Palm Treo smartphone.
- Kris Keilhack has a write-up on the Palm Treo Headphone Adapter for PalmInfocenter.   This basic, barebones adaptor allows you to connect a standard 3.5mm stereo headphone jack to your Treo.  Kris says : “Hardcore music aficionados should look to one of the more streamlined options or carry a separate mp3 player.” You can find this adapter online for US$6-10.

- Gary of GadgetNuttz reviews the new Palm GPS Navigator Smartphone Edition. This Bluetooth-enabled GPS unit comes with a car charger, a window or dash mounted suction cup/holder for the Treo and a brand new version of the TomTom Navigation software. Gary had problems using his Bluetooth headset at the same time as the GPS navigator. The verdict : “if you want a Bluetooth GPS receiver and the absolute best software package for the Treo (and you are aware of the limitations of Bluetooth use) buy this package.”

- Andrew of Treonauts covers the Nite Ize Clip Case Side Office Universal Holster. It’s big enough to fit all your “absolutely necessary” accessories (including the GPS navigator mentioned above) but you might find that it will pull your pants down at the same time.  Andrew says it is “orders of magnitude larger than anything else I’ve ever put on my belt … doctors, students, builders, repairmen and other field workers as well as the police and military among others will undoubtedly find the extra large capacity and robust construction to be ideal”.
