More leaked photos of the Treo Nitro

Palm’s really done a bad job on their product plan security, haven’t they? One of the most hotly-anticipated smartphone for 2006 is the GSM Treo called the Treo Nitro, and we have already seen a couple of blurry photos. Now, thanks to the Hi-PDA.com forum, we get several more shots. There are a few new details, such as a side-loading SD card slot. The Nitro is also shown running Palm OS (not sure which version, but most probably yet another iteration of Palm OS 5.4 Garnet).
Nitro is supposed to be a GSM Treo, designed for 3G/UMTS networks. It’s yet to be revealed whether it will have support for HSDPA. The more I see Nitro, the stronger I feel that we won’t see a GSM version of the Treo 700p. Like it or not, I think that Palm really doesn’t have the capacity and the capacity to produce and maintain two different GSM phones at the same time.
