DIY Battery cover reset hole

My personal Treo 650 rarely crashes these days, which means I hardly ever have to take off the battery cover to poke the reset hole. However, if you are unfortunate enough to own a “temperamental” Treo (or if you try out a lot of beta software), then it does get annoying to open the battery cover each time you need to reset. There are two options – one is to purchase a custom battery cover (US$10 ), and the other is to make the hole yourself. maceyr of PalmDiscovery.net did the latter.

Maceyr says : “… those who have been thinking about doing the same may want to seriously consider drilling their own reset hole. I’m no handywoman so if I can do it, you certainly can too. Just make sure that you don’t put too much pressure on the cover when drilling and take it slowly. “
