We don’t know the full details of Palm’s remaining two smartphones set to be released at the end of the year. However, we do know that they will be a “candy bar” form factor and most likely will featire the full QWERTY keyboards seen on current Treos. Is Palm losing out on an important segment of the market by not bringing out a flip phone? According to a survey by US Carrier Sprint called The Women In a Wireless World, 72% of women prefer flip phones. We’ve seen how the Motorola RAZR has taken the world by storm (over 50 million sold now), and we’ve also seen the popularity of the Sidekick.

Women also like a high degree of personalization, which Treos already provide with third-party theme software and of course the hundreds of cases available.
