Half a billion mobile TV users

That’s the number predicted by ABI Research to subscribe to a mobile TV service by 2011. At the end of last year, just 6.4 million used mobile TV – so there’s plenty of catching up to do. Some of these users will be using Treo smartphones – aside from Mobitv (now available in 7 countries), Tivo To Go now supports the Treo 700p, Treo 700w and Treo 650 as well.
Personally, I don’t see myself using my Treo for watching TV – maybe just short news clips. With RSS, I find that it’s much easier to absorb information in short chunks of text.
