How to use the Treo 700p as a modem for your Mac

Palm claims that the Palm Treo 700p smartphone can be used out of the box as an EVDO modem (provided you subscribe to the appropriate data plans with Sprint or Verizon, of course). But what if you have a shiny new MacBook? As usual, Mac users are left behind - but never for long. The best thing about Apple laptops is that they all include Bluetooth as standard across the board. Jason O’Grady of ZDnet explains how to use the Verizon Treo 700p as an EVDO modem for MacBooks.

At the moment you can only connect over Bluetooth, as there isn’t (yet) a Mac USB driver for the Treo 700p.
