WiFi on future Treos?
One of the biggest disappointments about the new Palm Treo 700p (and indeed, the Palm Treo 650) is that there’s no support for WiFi. So are we ever going to see WiFi on Palm OS Treos? It turns out, the answer is yes. Palm CEO Ed Colligan told Washington Post’s Technology Briefing that the reason they have not added WiFi to the current Treo line is because of battery life. “We do believe Wi-Fi is an important technology,” Colligan said. “There’s no question that we’ll ultimately put in our products, but at the right time.”
So we do know that eventually we’ll have WiFi. But when?
