User question : Using Treo 650 with Treo 600 keyboard
Treo Today reader Cori asks :
“Do you know if there is a converter to make my Treo 600 keyboard work with my new Treo 650 or will I need to pick up a new (bluetooth) keyboard?”
Answer :
The connectors in the Treo 600 and Treo 650 are not compatible. As far as I know, there’s no such converter. Your options would be the Palm Universal Wireless Keyboard (which uses IR i.e. infra red) which is around US50-$70, or the Think Outside Stowaway Bluetooth Keyboard (which is around $100-150).
I can understand the frustration of having incompatible accessories after an upgrade. My keyboard for my Palm V could not work when I upgraded to the Palm m505. If any Treo Today readers can shed light on this issue, let me know!
