3,500 Prudential insurance agents use Treos
A bit of local news for a change. About half of the agents of insurance company Prudential Assurance use Treo smartphones. The agents use the Treos to access their PRUpower system to submit policy proposals to the company electronically and almost instantly.
Apparently the Treo has been in use within Prudential since 2004. Here’s one insurance agent’s testimony of the usefulness of the Treo :
“… my client met with an accident recently and I forgot the type of policy he had taken and his benefits entitlement. Fortunately, the Treo smart phone was in my possession and I managed to access his personal information and type of policy. My client was then able to make claims without much hassle.”
