Palm Treo 700w launch date

The long-awaited Palm Treo 700w powered by Windows Mobile is scheduled to be launched on January 5th 2006. Jan 5 is the first day of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, so I would assume that Palm and Verizon would announce their joint launch during the show.

Hopefully they will take a leaf from Apple’s playbook and ship the actual units immediately or soon after launch.
