Gmail accounts now available in more countries

December 19, 2005 – 12:59 pm | by Azizi

A few months ago we mentioned that you can sign up for a Gmail account if you have a US mobile number. You can request for an invitation code to be sent via SMS to your mobile phone. Now Google has opened up access to several more countries.

The Gmail sign-up page now supports the following countries:

- Malaysia
- Indonesia
- Singapore
- The Phillippines
- Thailand
- New Zealand
- Australia
- Turkey

It’s interesting that almost all the Southeast Asian countries are represented. If you’re not (yet) in the countries mentioned above, you can always email us for an invite.
