Palm, Inc has launched two new handhelds, the Palm Z22 and Palm TX. With these new devices, Palm seems to be saying goodbye to the Zire and Tungsten lines.

Palm’s three product lines are now LifeDrive Mobile Managers, Treo smartphones and Palm Handhelds.

The Palm Z22, retailing at US$99 is a new entry-level handheld with:

- 32MB memory w/ 20MB accessible to user
- 200 MHz ARM-based processor
- 160 x 160 color touchscreen display
- Long-life rechargeable battery
- Mini USB connector

Palm TX Handheld

Palm TX Handheld

The Palm TX, retailing at US$299 is a mid-range handheld. The specs:
- Palm OS® Garnet 5.4
- 128MB memory w/ 100MB accessible to user
- Intel 312 MHz ARM-based processor
- 320 x 480 transflective TFT touchscreen display (Support for over 65,000 colors)
- Landscape and portrait orientation modes
- Wi-Fi 802.11b wireless technology
- Bluetooth® 1.1 wireless technology
- Standard 3.5mm stereo headhphone jack
- Support for MultiMediaCard, SD & SDIO cards
