Jeff Kirvin, writer and the host of the 1src podcast, updates a 3-year old article to reflect the Palm Treo 650 smartphone. The question is, Is the Treo 650 the perfect writer’s PDA?

While I don’t claim to be a writer, I’ve certainly done my share of writing on the Treo 650. Being pocketable certainly is a plus point – I can write just about anywhere. The keyboard is also great, so it’s no problem tapping out 100-200 words at a time.

Jeff’s verdict : “It meets all of my criteria, though sometimes with a little help. It’s small and light enough to be an everyday companion to a mobile writer, can handle both voice and image capture, can create and email professional-quality documents and can connect to the internet for research.”
