MSN Mobile : Local Search with Maps and Directions

Looks like MSN has joined AOL and Google with the Mobile Search bandwagon. The beta version of MSN Mobile Search allows you to enter a search term (e.g. “coffee”) and your zip code (US only at the moment) to get local results.
New features such as SMS and send to phone services are expected to be rolled out in the next few months.
I tried out the MSN Local Search on my Palm Treo 650 smartphone, and it works well. It should work with most phones supporting WAP 2.0. Just point your browser to http://mobile.msn.com
