Why I love my Treo 650
August 18, 2005 – 10:17 am | by AziziSince I bought my Palm Treo 650 smartphone in February this year, it has been my constant companion. Why do I love my Treo?
Simply put, it’s my second brain. We live in an age of information overload, so much so that it’s a challenge to decide what bits to remember and what bits to discard. The Treo helps somewhat. It’s filled with 850 memos, 1315 contacts and 3090 appointments to keep track of people, projects and more. I have reference documents, presentation files, podcasts and ebooks on hand to make sure I don’t waste a minute of every day.
If the information I need is not in my Treo, I can simply look it up via Google or Wikipedia. This has proven very useful for both personal and work purposes, for example when my boss needed to know a good definition of “systems integrators”. I was able to tell him more or less immediately.
There’s probably three dozen other reasons I can think of, but that’s for another post.
