Interesting use of the Treo #389094: catch traffic offenders in the act.

The Malaysian Road Safety department has a new website that encourages citizens to take photos and upload images of traffic offenders to an online "Hall of Shame". This includes parking offenses, illegal overtaking and others. It's a surprisingly aggressive move by a government department and I hope that it will catch on. Since most phones nowadays come equipped with a camera, it will be pretty easy to snap away.

The question is, what's the next step - will the offenders actually be caught and charged?
