In Case of Emergency

ICE (In Case of Emergency) is a scheme promoted by the East Anglian Ambulance Service, UK. It simply asks you to keep in your phone, the names and contact numbers of the people who you would like to be contacted in case of an emergency. To make it easy for the emergency services personnel to find, all you have to do is prefix the names with ICE.

The need for something like ICE is really apparent in the wake of the recent London terrorist attacks. Hopefully more emergency services could step in to promote this scheme. In the UK, 80% of the population carry mobile phones, in Malaysia, it’s already over 60%.
